As we’re regular visitors to De Nieuwe Anita for gigs and weekend events, it was an honour for Amsterdam Vinyl Club to stage our first show in one of the city’s most iconic venues.

We were delighted to welcome Sophia Sigma to the decks. A DJ who describes herself as an “Opera Techno Siren”, Sophia chose AVC to play her very first vinyl-only set – and judging by the cheers at the end, we all thought it was a triumph!

Robert Tylutki also played his first AVC set, while returning favourites DJ Tea & 2 Sugars, Deepak Nichani, DJ Boudewijn and DJ Roland kept the soundtrack eclectic and ever-shifting.

Then there was Dr Blackthorn, who closed the night with a swaggering glam rock set. But who was this mysterious selector? He just appeared and started spinning records. If you know who he is, let us know.
