Analogue Frequencies was the first Amsterdam Vinyl Club show dedicated entirely to electronic music.
The idea was born during one of our regular AVC socials, where DJs who’ve played at the club get together to talk about music, share ideas and plan future events.
One of our longest-serving members, Miro, suggested creating a night that took a different approach to our monthly shows by focusing on a single genre and showcasing electronic music.
The event also marked Amsterdam Vinyl Club's first show at Borisov, whose sophisticated setting and superb sound system provided the perfect backdrop for the evening.
Juri opened the night with a delicious selection of Chicago and Balearic house, easing everyone into the evening before AVC veteran DJ Jaimy took over with an expertly crafted journey through soulful house, deep house and trance. DJ Jaimy had picked up a stack of new records especially for the event, and every selection hit the mark.
Next up was the welcome return of Walter Vooys, who kept the energy building with a superb house set packed with warm grooves and irresistible rhythms. Miro then closed the night with a powerful techno and rave set that steadily built in intensity, providing a fitting finale to the evening.
We were also delighted to welcome GOT.DRIP Streetwear & Records and Damn Good Records, who spent the evening selling vinyl and helping create the relaxed, record-loving atmosphere that has become such a big part of Amsterdam Vinyl Club.
