Amsterdam Vinyl Club is giving you a platform to talk about the records that make you tingle.

In our two 'Talk About Pop Music!' slots we want you to bring along one record, show it to the room, and talk for less than 5 minutes about what it means to you.

The debut Amsterdam Vinyl Club on Thursday 12 June at BR020 on Marnixstraat 325H, 1016 TC. Entry is free and the show starts around 7.30pm.

During our 'Talk About Pop Music!' show and tells you can speak about any record you like, but we’d like you to choose a theme to keep things focused.

Here are some sample themes – feel free to use any of these or pitch us your own idea:

• the record I'd save if my collection were on fire and I could only save one

• confession: the most expensive record I ever bought

• I finally found my holy grail! And here's how I did it

• the record that makes me dance when nobody's home

• my favourite record sleeve

Here's how to 'Talk About Pop Music!':

• DM us on social media or email amsterdamvinylclub@gmail.com

• tell us which record you'd like to talk about and what you want to say about it

• we'll read all pitches and choose two pop talkers. We'll then get in touch with the speakers to arrange the details

When entering, don't forget that slots will be strictly limited to 5 minutes. Anyone who overruns will be rudely cut off!

And don't worry if you're not a confident public speaker. Amsterdam Vinyl Club is a place for friends, so you’ll be supported and there's no need for any stage jitters.
